For the latest Hyundai Elantra pricing and information:
Originally scheduled to see the 2021 Hyundai Elantra for the first time last week, we here at KBB still want to give you our thoughts on this seventh-generation compact sedan. So while Micah Muzio and Lyn Woodward don’t have the car physically in front of them, they thought they could talk about it from their homes. We can’t wait to see it in person, but in the meantime, here are some first impressions!

So, what part of our homes should we review a car from next? ?
For those wondering on why the smartphone unlock feature only supported on Android, it's not Hyundai fault. Apple limit the use of NFC inside their iPhone to just Apple Pay which means other third party cannot get full access to the NFC connection. Same case with BMW smartphone unlock feature …
At this point the video isn’t much more informative than a typical YouTube comment.
The edges on the car look so sharp , I could slice veggies for lunch
They got the styling right. Best looking compact sedan in years.
The side lines are unnecessory and looks awful…
Freemason bunny.
It needs the 1.6 DCT 7-speed dual clutch 201hp
lol
2:03 tail lamps look like volvo's headlights
Zelantra?
Those great looks — then they install a 147 horsepower motor with a CVT. HARD PASS.
If Coefficient of Drag alone styled cars they'd all look like teardrops. The challenge is to blend engineering, safety and packaging with distinctive style. I like daring innovations in design like this newest Elantra…and I hate use of the word "ugly" simply because it doesn't appeal to some individuals. Without a doubt Genesis, KIA and Hyundai style has rocked the look of vehicles for the past decade and challenged other makes to do so as well. After all, without Hyundai, Corollas would still look like toasters.
I dig the risk of the design, but I can’t get into that side profile. I have the 2018 Elantra, and love it.
I said it once (with the sonata) and I’ll say it again.
Props to Hyundai for going bold but bold doesn’t always mean good.
The new Sonata and Elantra compete with the current gen Prius for the ugliest new car on the road.
Hi back to Orange Bunny!
I now see a Z everytime I look at the side view…lol thanks for that.
Personally I like the styling. I ?? Hyundai for taking a out of the box approach. Like it or not at least they're trying to be distinctive. It's looks better than the boy racer Civic IMO.
Great looking car! I never thought I will change my brand loyalty but this time I am changing from Honda to Hyundai!! Kudos to Hyundai!
Front looks far better than Sonata.
Kinda cool, kinda really friggin hideous. I’m torn…
Explain why there have been like 7 redesigns in the past 3 years
Nothing beats the Mazda 3 in this segment.
The profile view of this car looks like a civic 1:30
Hyundai did a great job on this redesign. The interior definitely trumps civic and corolla. The side profile says 1st gen CLA but I have to see it in person.
So good
Design language reminds me of tesla cybertruck
Like the Sonata, I hate the exterior, hate the engine slow engine choices, love the interior and tech. Mixed bag at best. I just don't understand substituting has to be either ugly or incredibly stale. There is an inbetween area but Honda and Hyundainseem to get that. The new Kia Forte I think will look better than this so I would be looking at that when it comes out. Shocked they kept that lowly base engine
Allie better than the 2020
elantra 2016 design mops the floor whit this one
It looks nice. The car and the kitchen.
well iam happy i got the 2020 sport…this 2021 is ugly big time…but then again not every buddy like the 2020
Looks bloody brilliant. I just wish they would offer a NA engine paired to a normal automatic.
Looks good
I don't like how it looks.
Try doing videos from the garage… or the bathroom?
So if the infotainment screen breaks or becomes out dated, the car gauges also becomes unusable?
Car Designer: How many sculpted body creases can I get away with?
Hyundai: YES.
Car detailers: UGH BUFFING, THIS GUNNA BE ‘NNNNOYING!!!
These compact cars are getting big. This looks about the size of the current gen Accord.
I hate those distracting and unnecessary triangles on the side panels of the 2021 Elantra. I’m also disappointed that there’s no panoramic sunroof in the new Elantra, and that it retains the old-fashioned, bulky , and space-consuming shift lever. I was hoping that the Elantra, like the Sonata, would have buttons for gear selection, or perhaps a rotary dial or toggle switch — it would minimize clutter and weight. Other than that I’m satisfied with the design of the new Elantra. I’m just hoping that Hyundai would keep in the U.S. market the GT N—Line hatchback — that’s the only Elantra that I would buy.
Seems like it was hit by cyber truck from the sides
I love the look of the new 2021 I didn't like the 20 model and I didn't really care for the 19 model either I have an 18 model right now and wouldn't mind trading it in for the 2021 but we keep getting conflicting stories of what the 2021 model looks like on the inside are there two different versions some show connecting screen for the tachometer to the map display and other show it separated some show a handle like feature between the driver and the passenger and some show no handle at all I'm confused
Woody!
Wow… great looks..
Front is MUCH better than outgoing model (looked too much like a Ford Focus). Side is okay, but back is a little risky. I think it'll grow on me. And the Hybrid variant? Let's do it.
It’s so…pointy
