How to Contour Men for HDTV

And finished of course with the oil control white powder for shine. So next step is the perfect contour and the contour, this is the perfect contour right here. This is like the ultimate man blush and kind of shading for men. So you use this brush right here. And it is called the Shade It brush it actually says Shade It brush on there and it’s an angled type brush. So you pick up a little bit of the perfect contour. A little goes a long way. And we want to apply it to his cheek bone area first. You see he has really nice cheekbones we just want to add a little bit of accent. So depending on weather you have high cheek bones, low cheek bones defined cheek bones or not, you still want to always have a little bit of colour on your cheeks after foundation. Because we get you all one colour but we want to make sure that you are not looking like a corpse. So we are going to go back and add that. The easiest way to add that is smile for me. So when you smile think “where does Grandma pinch your cheeks?” Because I know guys this is makeup and you would rather be doing something else placement is important so just a good visual is where Grandma pinches your cheek is right back here. So that is where you want to place the shadow. So you come in here and you just sweep it back from your cheek bone and sweeping it back to just underneath the side burns. And just using a smooth sweeping motion for the application. And this just gives you a little bit of colour there. Again it’s extremely subtle. If you can see if in person clearly then you have put too much on. Ok, I will let you do your side. What he did is exactly what you need to do as far as whenever you do that fake little smile it plumps up the apples of your cheek and gives you a better idea of where you actually need to place that perfect contour so that it looks natural. You are going a great job with sweeping motion. Terrific, excellent job. Ok, next, so guys if you don’t have bangs you always want to come right around to hairline with this perfect contour. It’s just about warming up the forehead, which again brings focus right down to the center of his face. So just making sure that you use the angle of the brush, there you go. And get right along the root and all the way back there. And then blending it all in. Good, lets take a look, excellent. Not too bad, no, not too bad. This is the first time he has ever contoured in his life by the way, so if it’s this easy for him to do it once I am sure you can do it as well. The other place that we want to contour is going to be underneath the jawline. He has a pretty crisp jawline but we want to give just a little bit more definition. And for those of you who definitely to not have definition in your jawline this is for you and those who are just starting to get the little jowl here, you will love this. So the important thing is that you go underneath, you want to get underneath the jawline. The contour never goes on the side of the face. It goes underneath the jaw. So actually we are carving out a jaw here and just tucking in that extra bit of skin we are pushing it back in there. Again, this is all about bringing focus to the center of the face. Making sure that it stay underneath the chin and jaw. Your turn. Good. Again notice that he is using gentle blending motions with his brush. That’s a good thing. Excellent. He is all contoured and ready to go. There is only one other area that you could contour depending if you need it or not and that is your nose. If you have a really wide nose you would contour on either side of the bridge of the nose just adding a little bit of shading here with the perfect contour.
