  4. NAM : NON ALIGNMENT MOVEMENT
Non alignment movement is formed during cold war era in which nam is not aligned to any side i.e usa or ussr but it be a independent or neautral body. In 1955 discussions are gone at Bandung conference, Indonesia. First NAM Conference took place in Yugoslavia, 1961.

Relevance in post Cold War Era
    :-
    1. Opposite to racial discriminations: Racial discrimination were prevalent South Africa, NAM warned to south africa against racial discriminations in second conference.
    2. Disarmament: Right from the begining NAM is aginst to arms, nuclear arms etc crime against humanity.
3.UNSC reforms: NAM wants to reforms in UNSC. It did not accept the domination of USA OR USSR. It wanted democracy and participation like members in unsc.
    4. Failed to resolve regional tensions: After the formation of NAM also INDIA-PAK AND INDIA-CHINA tensions did not solve.

    — Now the world is change from bipolar to unipolar i.e ussr is disintegrated so it may not relevant for todays world, eventhough irrelavency some valid reasons are there to continue NAM. They are
    1. NAM provides a strong base to foreign policy of its members.

    2. It should be like strategic autonomy
    3. India can assert soft power and provide an active leadership
    4. It solves the problems like terrorism, climate change, trade and etc.,
